Add the seasonings when you beans are semi-cooked, and almost at the texture you are aiming for.

For every tablespoon of water, add half a tablespoon of cornstarch and mix as much as needed to get the right thickness. In order to create a thicker sauce, add the mixture to the sauce, while it is cooking on low heat. However, it is important that the sauce is stirred often while the mixture is being added so as to stop it becoming too thick.
Although leafy green vegetables are very nutritious, prepping them for cooking can be a bit difficult. Getting the stems out, for instance, is tedious without an easy cooking tip. A simple way around it is to lengthwise fold the green in half and try to break the stem at the middle. Alternatively, a knife can be used to remove the stem while the leaf is folded. Open the leaf back up and you have no more stems!
