I started in retail when I was 13 years old. My first job was in sales at Pal’s Music Company, my neighbor’s dad’s record store in downtown Hattiesburg, Ms. Sales were a simple thing then. A customer, generally, had heard a song on our local radio station, WXXX, and came in, usually the following Friday or Saturday, and wanted to hear a bit of it on the built in record player. If it was the right song it was usually a sale. Every Friday I got paid in my choice, records or cash or both. I usually chose both.

1- Serving on a case’s 12-man jury can be a serious task; the validity of the system is preserved by the use of a jury selection process. Several persons are found from the local citizenry to form an original jury pool. Because most if not all people have built in biases against this or that issue, the jury selection system permits the questioning of the jury pool. The jurors’ thinking process is evaluated for biases that might skew the outcome unjustly. It can be a most revealing way of learning things about jurors and lawyers; if yours touches the heads of the jury while questioning them with the words “duck duck goosey,” its time to hire a new one.

However, it should be made clear that while TV sets seem rather indispensable in these times, there are many risks attached to TV watching. As a parent you must monitor closely that the programs that your little ones are watching are only those shows that are educational and child-friendly.
